The
religious celebration begins with an early morning mass for the annual pilgrims
from the nearby village of Sužan, who traditionally visit Njivice on this day,
continues with a solemn holy mass, and ends with a procession in the afternoon.
The
celebration is traditionally accompanied by a fair of local products and a folk
festival in the evening hours. The sports program includes bocce, water polo,
tennis, and chess tournaments.
