65. Blue terrace

A more serious arrival of tourists in Njivice began after 1922. They stayed in private houses and ate at the Luka Hotel, owned by Luka Turato.

Luka Turato first built a hotel that he named after himself, and then set about building a new hotel by the sea. He raised only the ground floor and fell into a financial crisis from which he could not get out. He sold the hotel and started construction, which, unfortunately, never continued and only the walls remained. After the Second World War, the area around the abandoned walls was leveled and given the name Blue Terrace.

The blue terrace from then until today has served as a restaurant, cafe, cocktail bar and a place for dancing and entertainment. The ownership of the terrace belonged to Aminess hotels and camps, and the terrace is now part of the tourist offer in Njivice.
