Singing
a capella is part of the life and history of this region, and the island of Krk
has a tradition for almost four decades, which is why the idea was to hold the
festival every year at the same date and in the same place on the 4th of August at
Placa in Omišalj.
Thus,
with the greates care and seriousness, the First Women's a capella singing -
"Omišljanska rozeta" was created. The
festival jury, composed of respectable experts for a capella singing decide on
a reward - "Omišljanska rozeta" - sculpture that is tied to the
history of this island town.
Namely,
the parish church in the old core of Omišalj is the most important monument of
culture in the city, dominated by a rosette in the facade of church built by
local artist, the master Sinoga, in the 15th century.
