The
testimonial day of its parish the inhabitants of Omišalj traditionally
celebrate by the early morning procession to the cemetery of St. Spirit and
ceremonial Eucharistic celebration in the parish church.
The
Day of Omišalj Municipality each year greatly increase the island
"sopelaši", members of Association "Sopac" of island of
Krk, together with the leadership of Omišalj Folk Society "Ive
Jurjević" organize a musical event called "Na tenko i debelo",
at the local square.
The
"Duhovski utorek" is celebrated with a ceremonial session at Prikešte
square, and besides the occasional speeches, dances and songs, yearly prizes
are given to admirable inhabitants. The
full-day sports and cultural program ends with an entertaining program.
